2013 Halloween Costume Recital

We had a fantastic Costume Recital and Halloween Party this afternoon!  Everyone did a really great job on their performance, and made it through the expected nerves and jitters.  I was especially proud of how supportive the older kids were.  What a respectful audience!

Parents, I would like to thank you for your patience during drop off and pick up.

For five of the students, this was their first recital and I hope it was a good experience for them.

I feel so privileged to be your teacher, and I am incredibly proud of each and every one of you!

I wish all of you a safe and happy Halloween.

Get creative with music making!

Express your musicality!

Here's a fun website where kids can create music using preset beats, effects, melodies and voices.

Simply click and drag the accessories to the figures, and experiment with the beats and other settings.  Click on the volume to mute or add additional musicians.  Click on the headphones to hear a solo by a particular character.  As it's recording you can bring musicians in and out, but you need to count in order for it to sound best.  (Think 4/4 time!)

Students, if you would like to try recording your composition, feel free to email it to me.  I'd love to hear your creation.

The link below will take you to the homepage, and there are three versions.  Obviously V.3 is the most current, but it's also fun to play around with the older versions.
